At Pivot I worked as an in-house brand and marketing designer. I collaborated closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to create meaningful materials to help people with nicotine addiction.
A brand that is kind.
Brand GrowthThe brand work I did at Pivot was an evolution that spanned my time there. I saturated the brand palette, expanded the illustration library, customized photos with branded graphics, made templates for recurring projects, and documented all these updates for other designers to reference.
Breath Sensor Packaging
The Pivot breath sensor is mailed to people who sign up for Pivot's smoking cessation program. It is used as a motivational tool by measuring carbon monoxide in the breath from smoking cigarettes. People can see their progress when their levels go down by reducing or quitting smoking.
The hardware engineers worked with our manufacture to design a reduced packaging structure. The goal was to have a modular outer sleeve for the flexibility of client customization and to have a balance of delightful and informational messaging.
Email Design
Creating emails was a recurring task at Pivot. Seasonal campaigns went out every 2-3 months. I would create unique hero images for each email based on copy provided by the marketing team. To make this work easier, I made module sections that I would either do modifications to or bring in as evergreen pieces. Below are examples from the fall campaign encouraging employees of Pivot clients to sign up for Pivot.
Illustration Exploration
During my time at Pivot Inc. there have always been questions surrounding our brand's illustrations. Do these best represent our brand? Do they speak to our audience? Was it time to try something new?
